Altum Corporate Finance has advised Leo den Hoedt and Ger de Wit, the founders of Magna Cura Automatisering, on the sale of their Ridderkerk-based ICT company to Futureproof Group. Magna Cura joins forces with fellow group company Micros in Rotterdam, bringing two established regional ICT providers under one roof while the founders remain closely involved.

Twenty years of ICT close to the customer

Leo den Hoedt and Ger de Wit founded Magna Cura Automatisering in Ridderkerk in 2001. For more than two decades the company has looked after the office automation and telephony of SME clients, earning a reputation for hands-on service and lasting client relationships. That personal, close-to-the-customer approach stays in place: the Magna Cura name continues, and both founders remain in the daily management alongside Micros directors Frans Poldervaart and Johan Vavier.

A home within a growing ICT platform

Futureproof Group brings together a family of ambitious Dutch ICT service providers, designing, delivering and managing IT infrastructure and cloud environments for its clients, and is backed by investment company MKB Fonds. For Magna Cura, the step provides the expertise, purchasing power and back-office strength to keep pace with rising client demands around security, cloud and continuity, without losing the character that made the company successful.

One team with Micros in the Rotterdam region

Magna Cura will work hand in hand with Micros, the Rotterdam ICT provider that is also part of Futureproof Group. The two teams will come together and, in time, move to a single location, giving clients of both companies access to a wider pool of specialists and to the partner network of Micros and Futureproof Group. The result is a stronger, broader ICT partner for businesses across the region.

Altum's role

Altum Corporate Finance acted as exclusive financial advisor to the founders of Magna Cura Automatisering, guiding them through positioning, buyer dialogue, negotiations and closing. The transaction has been completed.

Leo den Hoedt and Ger de Wit, founders of Magna Cura Automatisering, said:
"The ICT market and technological developments are constantly evolving, offering new opportunities for our customers, but also placing high demands on our expertise as an ICT service provider. Joining Futureproof Group, a group of ambitious and strong ICT service providers, ensures continuity for our customers and opens excellent opportunities for our employees. With the strong expertise and experience of Futureproof Group, we can serve our customers even better and accelerate our growth further."

Johan Vavier, Micros, said:
"By joining Futureproof Group, Magna Cura Automatisering's customers gain access to the extensive partner network of Micros and Futureproof Group. Through the further collaboration of both companies, we strengthen our customer teams with even more professionals who share the same passion: delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. Magna Cura Automatisering and Micros will relocate to one location in the near future to intensify and optimise the collaboration."

Wisse Stolk, Partner at Altum Corporate Finance, said:
"Magna Cura Automatisering is a high-quality ICT service provider that Leo and Ger have built with great care over more than twenty years. In Futureproof Group, and through the collaboration with Micros, they found the ideal home to secure continuity for customers and employees and to accelerate the next phase of growth. We are proud to have advised the founders on this step."
